Infinity Backup Server

The Infinity Server and all of its data are critical components for the Infinity -based call center. The Infinity database can be backed up to another Infinity server using the optional Network Backup feature.

The Network Backup feature provides the ability to have a live stand-by Infinity server in place with a current database. One of the Infinity Telephony Servers in a multi-chassis configuration can be used as the back-up server, or it can be a stand-alone server.

Securing Your Infinity Data with Infinity Back-up Operator

The Infinity Windows ® Telephone Agent is a critical component of the Infinity call center system. It provides the operators with their interface to answer calls and process Infinity applications.

The optional Infinity Back-up Operator application allows data from the Infinity server to be exported over the network to a Microsoft ® Access database on each operator's desktop computer, or on a central file server. The data that is exported includes all operator set-up information, client information, directories, and on-call schedules.

The Infinity Back-up Operator application connects to the Microsoft Access database to retrieve the exported Infinity data. The functions of the Infinity Back-up Operator are designed to replicate many of the functions of the Infinity Windows Telephony Agent. This makes the transition from normal mode to back-up mode easier and more efficient.
