     AMTELCO Introduces IS Scheduling Enhancements

McFarland, WI — November 2009 — AMTELCO’s Infinity Software Version 5.51 includes several key scheduling enhancements. The Infinity Intelligent Series (IS) Directory is becoming more of a focal point for the system. It allows all information related to an individual to be entered in one place.  This means increased efficiency and reduced mistakes due to duplicate data entry.

IS Directory Importing and Exporting can now be managed within the IS Supervisor and the imports are performed directly by the IS Server.  This eliminates the stand-alone batch import application. Imports and exports can be scheduled within the IS Schedule application.

On-Call Scheduling utilizes the new Roles feature to categorize directory listings based on location or department and to define clients available for departmental on-call schedules. Enter personnel once, eliminating the need to create separate directory subjects for locations or departments.

Create pre-defined Shifts to ensure coverage during specific days and times. Required Roles can be associated with each Shift to ensure proper coverage. Use the Exclusive setting to ensure clients are not double booked.

Operators can locate a client from the directory to view their on-call assignments within their directory listing screen. Operators can select an assignment to quickly go to the associated on-call schedule for viewing or editing. Operators can retrieve on-call clients from within a script without ever bringing up the on-call screen. Retrieval of the on-call information enables Contact-Based dispatching.

Appointment Scheduling
Call center services can now be easily expanded into appointment scheduling. Utilize the familiar interface and capabilities currently available with on-call scheduling. Pre-define appointment slots for regularly occurring appointments. Choose the timeframes, days, and resources available for each appointment type.

The new Add Contact and Update Contact script actions can be used to dynamically create or update directory contacts from a script. Directory contacts can be booked for appointments. This can be used to build up a contact/caller directory as calls are taken.
